How does a mother become a mother? How do women — as mothers, or as observers of motherhood and caregiving — negotiate their own positions and perspectives within larger narratives of family and community through acts of photo album-making and book-making?
1:1 studio presents its first pop-up reading room, featuring a curated selection of women authors from @photobooks_by_women. The collection gathers works from across the world that centre on mothers as artists, and artists as bookmakers, delving into the realm of the third body — where memories, loss, motherhood, intergenerational relationships, domesticity, and care unfold through the pages they make.第三身體——在她與她的創作之間

In the Fold is a forum uniquely dedicated to the medium of the photobook, highlighting the processes between photography, publishing, and education. Open to the public, the forum kicks off Wednesday, September 10th with an opening reception and celebration. It continues Thursday, September 11th through Saturday, September 13th, featuring the 2025 Photobook Dummy Awards selection, book presentations from the Penumbra Long Term Program and Risograph Photobook Residency, conversations with photobook scholars and publishers, and demonstrations with artists and designers.

For uncategorisable and non-mainstream publications, an annual art book fair offers both a vital publishing platform and face-to-face reader interaction. As a pioneer amongst Asian art book fairs with an international perspective and strong local community ties, what drives SGABF's operation? What are Renée's thoughts on Singapore's publishing landscape, community cohesion, and urban connections?
